A Bucket O’ French and Saunders – QI – Star Trek: The Next Generation – 21 Sept 2007

The first recording today is another episode of A Bucket O’ French and Saunders. Among the highlights: “Yes, Jennifer, I have been accepted as the first woman comedy vicar on television.”

Dawn’s portrayal of Andrew Lloyd Webber isn’t very flattering.

Jennifer’s hopeful Joseph is instantly recognisable as the one with the floppy fringe and light blue suit.

Dawn does Simon Cowell.

And Tyra Banks.

Their Silence of the Lambs parody is one of the best things they ever did. “Here she is. I can smell her inexperience.” It’s a pity they don’t show the whole thing, as they miss the line that ends with “all the way to the BBC”.

Dawn does Sir Alan.

They round off the reality show judges with “Unknown Celebrity Circus Judge”

Media Centre Description: A selection of new and vintage sketches from the popular comedy double act. Jennifer is on a reality TV tour, pursuing her dream to be famous and auditioning for Dawn in various judging guises. Clips from the archive come from the world of film, as Silence of the Lambs, Alien, The Matrix and Edward Scissorhands all get the French and Saunders treatment. With guest star Kathy Burke.
