Charlie and Lola – 26 Oct 2006

Today’s recording isĀ Charlie and LolaWelcome to Lolaland. Charlie and Marv are doing their Spanish homework.

Homework is very advanced these days. They have tapes and everything. We had language labs when I was at school, but I think we used them maybe twice in all the time I was doing French. I felt cheated, as they had buttons and headphones and everything.

Lola wants to go to Spainland but Charlie tells her she needs a passport. So she makes her own.

But then Lola decides a better place to go would be Lolaland. She and Soren Lorenson go on a plane.

The island has a familiar shape

It’s a bit of a mishmash. I like the bourbon Stonehenge.

Charlie and Marv want the globe back to finish their homework. But to enter Lolaland they need passports and sunglasses.

And they have to do a boingy, springy dance.

Media Centre Description: Children’s animation. Join Lola and Charlie, a brother and sister, as they deal with topics that affect their everyday lives. Charlie and Marv are trying to do their Spanish homework, which sparks an interest in Lola to speak Spanish too. The boys say she is too young to speak Spanish, so Lola decides she wants to go to Spainland immediately, even though the boys say that is totally impossible.
