It’s Saturday again and time for another episode of Prehistoric Park.
Nigel’s next trip to the past takes him to a very volcanic region.
He sees some pterosaurs.
Their camp was turned over by some creatures during the night, so they’re on alert. Which, for Nigel, seems to mean walking up to an unknown reptile, and jumping around.
His colleague meets some less friendly animals. They’re after the bag full of food he’s carrying.
The animal he’s looking for is a microraptor, a gliding reptile, one of the smallest dinosaurs.
But as he’s chasing them, he comes across some of the biggest – titanosaurs.
Back at the park, one of the ornithomimus is behaving oddly, and Nigel suggests they do an ultrasound as he’s seen similar behaviour in birds who are close to laying eggs.
But the volcanic region is dangerous. Nigel comes across some of the aggressive dinosaurs they encountered, and realises they’re dead because of the carbon dioxide being emitted by the volcano.
The T-Rexes are getting fractious, so the team try to cool them down.
He starts catching microraptors with a net gun.
But the volcano suddenly starts erupting.
The volcanic ash is dangerous to all the animals. Nigel takes the opportunity to set up the time portal and returns to the present with more than microraptors.
Media Centre Description: Wildlife adventurer Nigel Marven journeys into the past, to bring back some of the most amazing creatures that ever populated the Earth. In this edition, he travels back in time to prehistoric China in search of one of the strangest dinosaurs the world has ever known – the four-winged flying Microraptor. At the park, Martha the Mammoth is feeling the heat, and the two T-Rex reach boiling point.

In the ad breaks, there’s a BT Broadband advert which features a rather young looking Taron Egerton or a remarkable facsimile. Edit: It’s a remarkable facsimile performed by actor Josef Altin off of Game of Thrones.
