Ellen – Friends – Frasier – One Night Stand – Whose Line Is It Anyway? – tape 2102

After the end of Brookside, featuring two characters arguing with each other in front of featureless walls – great TV – the first programme on this tape is Ellen with the continuation of the story we saw a few days ago, Thirty Kilo Man part 2. Ellen thinks her boyfriend is a drug dealer. When Audrey’s policeman boyfriend knocks on the door, she panics and dumps the package full of white powder down the toilet. But he tells her it’s flour, and he imports baking products. Although I’ve never heard of an importer importing what looked like a single bag of flour.

Cakey face

Page and Ellen start a fight in the movie theatre. I strongly disapprove of their conduct in this respect.

Next, it’s Friends. In The One with the Fake Monica, Monica’s credit card was stolen, and she wants to find out who it is who’s been living her life.

Also, Ross learns he has to give up his monkey, Marcel. He interviews potential homes for him, including Harry Shearer who wants to use him for animal fighting.

Next, Frasier and an episode called Roz in theDoghouse. Roz hurts her leg.

Bulldog, another presenter at the radio show, comes to help her out, and asks her if she’d preduce his show. When she tells Frasier this, he’s dismissive of her contribution, so she starts working for him. Frasier is convinced Bulldog is only interested in Roz so he can sleep with her. Eventually, he’s right.

Buuldog in heat

After this, recording switches, and we get One Night Stand featuring Ellen DeGeneres doing some of her stand-up. It’s OK, but it’s not really Bill Hicks.

Next, Friends and The One with the Ick Factor. Monica is going out with a much younger man. And Phoebe helps Chandler out in his office. I notice that Chandler has the classic Fish screensaver.

Chandler's Office

After sleeping with her boyfriend (for his first time) he confesses that he’s not a senior at college – he’s a senior in high school. And the show closes with Ross getting the message that Carol has gone into labour with their baby.

Next, more Frasier with Retirement is Murder.

I feel I should confess something here. In my database of tapes and their contents, I’ve misspelled ‘Frasier’ as ‘Frazier’ consistently. It’s slightly embarrassing. I also misspelled Jonathan Ross’s name as well. It’s strange, these blind spots you can have over language. It’s only recently that I’ve finally learned how to correctly spell Jeopardy.

Anyway, in this episode, Daphne, Frasier and Niles help their dad to solve one of his old. cold cases. Or they think they do.

After this, Whose Line is it Anyway with Mike McShane

After this, the start of an episode of Passengers with the usual load of old nonsense. The tape ends during this programme.
