Whose Line is it Anyway – The Last Resort – tape 578

This tape opens with the end of a rural-themed programme – not sure what it is.

there’s a slightly glitch with the ad break here, as it starts off playing the picture for an ad, but the sound is from an advert placeholder caption – sometimes, in some regions, Channel 4 didn’t sell all of its ad time, and occasionally, especially late at night, you’d get an ad break which just said ‘XXX follows shortly’. Annoying. This break looks like the wrong audio was keyed in, because there’s a brief flash of the ‘Whose Line follows shortly’ before the correct audio for the advert kicks in.

There’s also a trailer for The Last Resort.

  1. Whatever happened to Frank Clarke? Letter to Brezhnev was a really sweet film, though I didn’t see his other two. Nothing since 1991 according to IMDB. Now I think of it, Margi Clarke has disappeared too.

    1. I asked a similar question about Margi Clarke when she turn up on a different tape. She seemed to be everywhere for a few years. I even remember (it might have been on The Tube) that Morrissey made a short film about how much he liked her. He’d call her ‘Margox’ for reasons I couldn’t fathom.

  2. Hello,

Is there any chance you could put up the clip of Ian Pollard? I’m doing some research about his buildings at the moment and this would be invaluable!

    Thanks,
    Paul
