Babylon 5 – American Gothic – tape 2388

This tape starts with the end of Hollyoaks.

Then, an episode of Babylon 5. It’s the one that start with an anxiety dream from Ivanova where she turns up on the bridge naked.

The episode is Sic Transit Vir, and comes fairly soon after the station has declared independence from Earth, in the third season. Vir meets his arranged bride, who turns out to be a psycho nazi.

More Hollyoaks precedes the next episode, A Late Delivery from Avalon, guest starring Michael York as someone with a King Arthur fixation.

After this episode, recording continues with a bit of Tour de France. Then recording switches to the end of a youth-style programme which also cuts off abruptly – as if that recording was overrecorded. Which it might well have been, because the next programme is an episode of The Friday Night Armistice, introduced by Peter Snow.

In fact, it’s a repeat, titled as Last Friday Night’s Armistice.

However, even this doesn’t last long – it’s soon overwritten by another recording. Which is a real shame.

BBC Genome: BBC Two England, 14 July 1996 23.30

The new recording starts with the end of an episode of Dressing for Breakfast.

Then, as advertised on the tape label, an episode of American Gothic. I recorded quite a few of these, but I think it’s one of those shows I never started watching. I presume I started recording it because it was executive produced by Sam Raimi.

I’ve no idea what’s happening here…

Pig Faced Monsters

This episode is called Strong Arm of the Law.

After this, recording continues, with an episode of The Naked Truth, the Tea Leoni sitcom that I don’t remember at all.

After this, there’s the start of an episode of Cinefile on Robert Altman, but there’s only 5 minutes of this before the tape ends.
