The Mask – tape 2302

Let’s pop over to Sky Movies for Jim Carrey’s comedy The Mask. My tolerance for Jim Carrey is fairly low. I prefer his low-key performances in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. But if you’re going to watch one of his full-on performances, The Mask is a good one to choose. It’s got a great co-starring comedy turn from the relatively new Cameron Diaz, and even some genuine jeopardy at the end.

Like the recent Timecop this was also based on a Dark Horse comic, with a story co-written by Mark Verheiden.

After the film there’s a short promo for Speed with EPG interviews with Keanu Reeves, Dennis Hopper and Sandra Bullock.

Then there’s an interview with Danny Boyle on Trainspotting. Boyle is described as ‘Young British Filmmaker’.

Then the recording continues into a Don Johnson/Rebecca DeMornay film Guilty as Sin, which has some deeply ugly credits. Check out those colours.
